Your one-stop shop for handmade, local, and ethically sourced gifts!  The shop will be focusing on stocking local, handmade, and or ethically sourced products, that reflect the talent we have in the north!

Christmas Pop-Up Shop: About

TRADER INFO:

It will be open to the public from Saturday 10th of December to Sunday 18th of December, with a makers, press and trade mixer the Friday afternoon before the shop opens. 


The Pop-up shop will be located at The Bottleworks, in Ouseburn.


The shop will be focusing on stocking local, handmade and or ethically sourced products, that reflects the talent we have in the north! The pop-up will be working on a sale or return basis, and be fully staffed by Made.UpNorth, so you can sit back and focus on the final sales push of 2022. 


The type of vendors I'm looking for …

Handcrafted items such as ceramics, clothing, textiles, jewellery, woodwork, candle makers, soap and body care, etc

Artists & makers- painter, printers, photographers, jewellers, potters etc

Christmas items - gift wrap, decorations etc

Small businesses looking for a new point of sale  

Vintage clothing and or furniture

Please note - Due to the contract with the venue no food or drink can be sold on the premises, so i will be unable to stock it.


You are more than welcome to apply as a pair or group if you are wanting to share a space, however, you must include the info for all people selling and indicate who will be the lead contact on your application.

These types of items will not be stocked at the pop-up.

Weaponry, items that promote violence or hate, explosives or fireworks, and sadly no food or drink.

There is space for up to 45 businesses, makers or artists to get involved depending on their selling space needs.


Workshops:

At the pop-up shop there will be a 6ft table that workshops can be run from, it'll be free to run the workshop from this space. I'm just asking that you bring a donation of food or hygiene products for East End Women or Newcastle Hygiene bank. You would be responsible for taking all bookings/ payments and making all the arrangements for the workshop.


Costs:

The costs involved at selling at the pop-up will be £25 shelf/rail/floor/wall hanging & print rail rental for the 9 and a half days of trading. This will be used for the ground rent of the shop, advertising, contents & stock insurance, building shelves & display units. 

What your £25 will include:   

A shelf (40cm L x 35cm W x 40cm T) or wall hanging space & print rack or clothing rail or a pre-arranged display.

A QR code alongside your space so customers can shop with you online as well as in person.

A feature in the Made.UpNorth gift guide (which will be released beginning of November) on the mun socials with links to your online shop.

An invite to the business/ press/ trade mixer (with free drinks and snacks!).

15% commission will also be taken from each sale, this will be used to cover the staffing of the pop-up for the 9 and a half days of trading and to cover banking/payment transaction fees.   


Other T&C's:

The pop-up will be operating via sale or return.

You will be responsible for the delivery and return of your products.

Made.Up will take responsibility for any breakages/losses that happen at the pop-up (you will receive the RRP minus the 15% commision).
